simpleLOGOstudio.com founder Frank Delgado is well-known in various circles as "fRankD." He is an acclaimed international deejay, music programmer, documentarian, artist, traveler and above all -- entrepreneur.
By the age of nineteen, he was on the air at a highly-rated radio station in central California, writing for an independent arts/entertainment newspaper, and designing fliers for various college organizations.
The real adventures however, began in 1994. Moving started to occur every three or four years: to cities up and down his home state of California, and through the countries of China, Vietnam and Thailand. In each of these places, he was able to serendipitously find employment in design studios, with marketing agencies, and other jobs that required both an artistic skillset and high professional expectations.
University transcripts during this time period read like a hodgepodge patchwork of (changed) majors that would ultimately serve as the perfect foundation: Business Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Entrepreneurship and ultimately Digital Media Production.
After completing several Entreprenurship courses at California State University, Fresno, fRankD quit his job, sold nearly all of his possessions, and relocated to Bangkok, Thailand to work for an English-language radio station. During his stay, he created sabaiLOGOS with a small Stateside client list -- the model for what would become later simpleLOGOstudio.com.
He returned to California, enrolled in the ETP-II (Advanced Entrepreneurship Training Program) at the nationally acclaimed Central Valley Business Incubator. By the end of the program, he was able to cohesively combine over ten years of
professional design experience with a newfound infatuation for entrepreneurship. After completing the ETP-II class, a strategic business plan was drafted, and a team of freelance designers from across the U.S. was assembled.
simpleLOGOstudio.com now holds an impressive share of the online logo market and works as a silent partner alongside several notable public relations agencies in Chicago, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Austin.
We have worked for several high-profile clients, some notable bands (including a Bruce Springsteen project and alt-rock pioneers Toad The Wet Sprocket) and literally THOUSANDS of home-grown upstart companies.
In 2009 fRankD took a trip to research international logo design, and visited entrepreneurs in Berlin, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Venice. Look for an upcoming feature on this website highlighting the conversations and firsthand interaction with logos and designers from the European Union!
